Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The short version. Everything you type into a tool stays in your browser and is never sent to us. There are no accounts and no sign-up. “Save my classes” is off until you turn it on, and then keeps your classes on your own device only. Ads on this site come from Google, which may use cookies; you can control that.
Who we are
This policy covers the website My Grade Calculator at mygradecalculator.app (“we”, “us”, “the site”). You can reach us at hello@mygradecalculator.app.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, receive or store your grades, scores, class names, GPA, name, email address or any account details. Every sum is done inside your browser.
Share links
As you use a tool, it keeps your entries in the page address after a # sign, for example /#mode=points&r=Quiz,46%2F50,
so you can bookmark or share them. Browsers do not send the part after the # to any server. Scripts on the page, including ad scripts,
can read the address, and anyone you share the link with can see the numbers and class names in it, so share it only with people you
choose.
Saved classes (opt-in)
The grade calculator has a box called “Save my classes on this device”. It is off by default. If you tick it, the classes you save are kept in your browser’s local storage on that device and are never sent to us. The GPA calculator can read them on the same device. Unticking the box deletes every saved class. Clearing your browser’s site data also deletes them.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies of our own. Our advertising partner, Google, may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as device identifiers or local storage) when ads are shown, as described below.
Advertising: Google AdSense
The site is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. This is how that works:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s ad settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google consent message before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice later.
- Where your local law gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted ads, you can use the choices above, and your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal where it is supported.
Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com. Ads are never placed inside a tool, and none are shown in print or big-screen views. If we add any other ad or partner, we will name it here first.
Analytics
We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives us totals such as page views, popular pages, the kind of device and browser, the referring site and the country. Cloudflare states that this tool does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individuals across sites.
Hosting and security
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Children
The site is meant for high school students, college students, parents and teachers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR or US state privacy laws give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to some uses of it. Because we do not hold personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to hand over or delete. For advertising data, use Google’s controls above. For saved classes, untick the box or clear your browser’s site data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
