How do percent, letter and GPA fit together?
Percent → letter: the highest letter whose lowest percent is at or below your score. Letter → 4.0 GPA: A+ and A 4.0, A- 3.7, B+ 3.3, B 3.0, B- 2.7, C+ 2.3, C 2.0, C- 1.7, D+ 1.3, D 1.0, D- 0.7, F 0.

Which scale does my school use?
Most US schools use a 10-point scale, often with plus and minus grades. Some districts use a 7-point scale. Colleges set their own scales, usually in the syllabus. If your school’s numbers differ, use the grading scale settings on the grade calculator to type them in.
Does rounding change my letter?
It can, right at the edges. With rounding, 89.5 becomes 90 and moves up a letter; without it, 89.5 stays below 90. Tick “Round to a whole percent first” above to see the difference, and ask your teacher which rule they use.
